dawn at Lake Ella

1/31/2023 – Tuesday

Another 6:00 am morning! It’s weird to be putting myself on such a schedule nearly a year after I quit the day!job, but I feel like I’ve finally hit the “recovery” stage of leaving that job, as opposed to the “still shocky” stage I was in through most of 2022. I feel good getting up early to walk Keely and start my day, even making time in the process for meditation and a quick stretching routine.

Someone herded up all the scooters, and I always think of it as some kind of wild west corral. A friend and I are working on a possible book series set in a future “hope punk” world, and one thing I’m insisting on is that there are remaining machines which are sentient and treated as citizens. Food for thought:

It’s good to start practicing getting up early anyway, as summer will no doubt slam into us soon and walking during daylight hours will be too dangerous, if last year was any indication.
