It was only as I was writing the title for this update that I realized…I have not posted in over a week! I blame the beach…due to the generosity of friends, I was able to go and spend four days at a private vacation house on St. George Island, which was gorgeous. I’ll dig up a photo of that for a full recap post about the trip, which was eventful. As I told my friend Gina as she drove us back to Tally: The last weekend of February 2023 was a legendary time that will be legend!
The only sad part was I had to leave Keely at home, but I’m sure she mostly enjoyed me not bothering her for a few day! She was happy for me to get home, though, as I am the official snack dispenser after all. 🙄
Some things changed, and in a good way: the old nail spa/salon at 3rd and Monroe has become a new queer bar! Allow me to introduce The Rose Room:

In other personal news, MY CAMERA HAS ARRIVED! It actually arrived last week but I’ve been fiddling with how to work the damn thing. Gosh do I feel old trying to figure out all the screens and options…however I love the fact that it is super lightweight, so maybe I’ll start carrying it around more than I did my other camera (which has since been gifted on to a friend in need, as promised!). Expect some experimental pics and vids soon!
