It was 55°F out, so I did need my hoodie and half-gloves, even though I put off the walk until 8:00 am. It was absolutely gorgeous out, though, and Keely very much wanted to keep walking forever. In fact, after I ran a short local errand later, she bum-rushed the front door to get outside, so I ended up taking her for an impromptu mid-morning walk just because we could!
The drawback to the fine weather is that there is no rain, and we desperately need it. We had a light shower yesterday to bring in this cold front, and a one (1) heavier rain a few days ago, but nothing substantial. I’m seeing small sand bars showing up in the middle of Lake Ella as it slowly dries up. I’ve rarely seen it this empty, honestly, and I’m wondering if this is the year the (very shallow) pond finally goes completely dry at some point. No rain in the forecast anytime soon, so it’s possible. Not quite as bad news as the snow crab decimation but on the same spectrum…
Also, an update to breaking news: apparently the TPD sucks dick in hell, thanks rando graffiti artist for the clarification!!!
