dawn at Lake Ella

3/13/2023 – Monday

A morning thrown off kilter since rain set in last night, and that’s not even accounting for the daylight saving time change! Keely won’t “go” in the rain and I was not keen to force the issue, so in was a quiet morning in while I tried to figure out what I am supposed to be doing after my schedule is derailed.

Yes, apparently I have become my father yet again, in that I get grumpy when my set morning routine is disrupted. Damn rain!

We eventually got out at noon, but the temperature is falling below 60°F so obviously I needed to bundle up and wear gloves! Keely was unbothered, however. Well, I mean, she refused to walk on the (wet) grass so that made some things awkward for her, but she survived!

Even with this “cold snap” (I see you Northerners laughing at us!!!) spring has fully sprung:

This is just one of my many plants filling the air with pollen and making most of humanity miserable. I know climate change is terrible and all that but yes, sometimes I think fire bombing IS the answer. *blows nose*
