If you visit the website for this post, you probably have noticed a bit of change in the decor! I’m working hard on getting ready to re-launch my author career with a new platform and business model, so I’m trying to create some aesthetic cohesiveness across websites. Which has mostly been a re-education in just how much TIME website management requires, sheesh…
In other news, the old Fire Betty’s location has finally revealed its new identity: Duke’s & Dottie’s, which I think is a safe bet to say is a country-western bar for the younger set:
Checking on fb, they seem to be open already (the photo above was taken last week). Glad to see the space back in use, even if it’s not something I’ll partake of.
I am, however, super looking forward to trying out Finnegan’s Wake‘s new dinner menu, which looks delicious!
If you are looking for an update on Keely, it’s this: she’s loving this cold weather snap! While the daylight saving time switch means we are both sleeping in late it was still nice and cool for her when we got out this morning around 8:00 am.
Sadly, even so, I notice she’s moving slower these days, and there is definitely more gray on her muzzle than black. I remind myself daily that every moment with her is a gift, especially since I’ve already had her for three more years than I expected. She’s a stubborn, wary, spoiled, loving little girl and I love her with all my heart.
